The League of Extraordinary Booklovers were selected from applications and nominations received from members of the public.
The League is a band of book-loving volunteers aged 5 to 75 from all across the country who will answer book-related questions and make reading recommendations to people during Book Week Scotland 26 Nov – 2 Dec 2012. Our main aim is to get the people of Scotland reading whether they are continuing their reading journey and need inspiration, have forgotten the joy of reading. Most of all, The League will work to make reading fun. The League will be recommending books of all genres from The Picture of Dorian Gray to 50 Shades of Grey.
